Disney Cruise Vacation Packages Are A Great Vacation Option

By Janet Wright

Taking a trip with your family can be daunting. There are so many parts to consider, including transportation, where to stay, and the cost of eating out for every meal. One way to avoid all these hassles is to look at Disney cruise vacation packages instead. With a package deal, you get all the components of your vacation in one, without having to have separate bookings. It is also convenient and very fun for the whole family.

You have lots of options, depending on how close you live to the nearest port. If opting to drive, your package may consist of the cruise and a rental car. If not, then an airline ticket will be tacked on instead. You may need to stay overnight the day before. If so, then a night's stay at a local hotel is in order.

In case you need an overnight stay the day before embarkation, then you have a variety of price options to choose from for your room. From five star hotels that have all the amenities and room service, to a budget option that is no frills to save money, you can get anything you need. Be sure to ask for a place that has free shuttle service to the port, or else you will have to pay for your own shuttle or taxi.

Depending on which port you leave out of, your itinerary may look quite different. For example, if you leave out of the Gulf of Mexico, say out of Galveston in Texas, you could visit Mexico and the western Caribbean nations. If you were to depart out of Florida instead, you may go to the eastern part of the Caribbean, along with possibly a country or two in the Atlantic ocean if that is what you desire.

A few itineraries also leave out of Europe and let you explore this historical continent by ship. You have to fly into a place such as Copenhagen to get started, and fly out of there to get home. Many of these overseas starts include a big welcome party the night before to say thanks for choosing this trip.

While cruising, you can expect world class dining options, most of which are included in the price of your package. Most nonalcoholic drinks are also covered, including water, tea, and coffee. If you want alcohol, you can pay for this separately.

The onboard spa is a popular retreat, with many services such as facials, acupuncture, massage and more available from trained professionals. These are not included in your standard fee, however, so like the alcohol, you must pay separately for these.

Most taxes and gratuities are added onto your final bill during the cruise, but you can prepay them in advance instead. If you do this, then all you have to pay for is additional services and any souvenirs you buy onboard.

Booking a Disney cruise means you get to make memories that last a lifetime. No matter where you leave from or what package you book, you will have a fun and relaxing time.
