St. Maarten, located in the Caribbean, has been a popular tourist destination for many years. The beaches, the friendly people and the myriad of activities offered attract thousands of tourists each year. When planning your vacation there, make sure you know all about the st maarten activities that you can explore.

Sightseeing is very popular because of the good year-round weather and natural beauty of the area. From the top of Cole Hill Bay, you can view the nearby islands of Anguilla, St. Kitts and Nevis, especially on a clear day. You can take a walking tour around the island or a boat tour if you do not want to walk very far. You can also ride in a glass bottom boat and see the coral reefs beneath your feet with all their living plants and animals.

There are many activities available for visitors who love the water. You can go racing in a catamaran or snorkeling around the coral reefs. You can also go kayaking or swimming on one of the many beaches there. If you enjoy deep sea fishing, you can charter a fishing boat for a day and fish for marlin and other local fish.

You can choose whatever best suits you, whether you want a private balcony with a sunrise yoga classes in a quiet area or a hotel that is close to all the local amenities.

For those who enjoy sports and physical activities, there is a plethora of things to do as well. Hiking, golfing, and playing tennis are all popular tourist sports. Some resorts even offer mountain bikes that you can use to explore trails yourself.

There are many family activities to do as well. Families can take pony rides together at one of the local riding clubs, or take sailing lessons together. There is also a zip line course for children aged eight and up which is also popular.

Whatever you are interested in, your travel agent should be able to help you coordinate various activities during your stay. Many agents have contacts in the tourist industry that they get information from, so they may know about deals and packages that the ordinary traveler does not, so it is a good idea to ask about these.
